James is an Insolvency Practitioner licensed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.  He is also a member of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 he began to specialise in insolvency, working both in the UK and overseas on insolvencies covering a broad range of industries.  He qualified as a licensed insolvency practitioner in 1997 and started taking insolvency appointments in 2006.

James’ particular focus has been on corporate insolvency and restructuring, in particular property and the care sector, as well as contentious appointments involving litigation.  He has used his considerable experience to design training courses and has lectured regularly on behalf of the insolvency industry’s professional body, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (or R3).

Outside work, James is a slave to a large garden, with occasional day release to follow rugby or take to the road on a bicycle.
